How To Make Moringa Tea? For Better Skin And Weight Loss

Moringa is a plant which is currently gaining its space as skin care food as well apart from its other health benefits. You may have heard about people drinking green tea in the morning and switching to herbal tea in order to have better health and glowing skin.

It is indeed true that as much as you have to take care of your skin externally, maintaining a healthy diet is important. Moringa leaves filled with antioxidant properties, and rich in vitamin C, helps your skin in natural collagen formation and slow the process of aging on skin. Apart from effects on skin, moringa helps in diabetes and weight loss.

So, if you are planning on reducing caffeine intake and switching to some healthy tea, moringa tea will be a great option for you.

How to make moringa tea?

Making moringa tea is quite an easy recipe, it can be prepared from moringa powder or directly by boiling the moringa leaves. However, moringa leaves are not available in all seasons thus it is wise to turn them into powder in order to enjoy the benefits for longtime. 

For making moringa tea, you need:

  •       1 cup of water
  •       1 teaspoon moringa powder or fresh leaves
  •       Sweetener or lime juice (if desired)

Directions:

Start boiling the water,

While you put the moringa leaves in a tea ball in a cup, once the water is boiled

Pour the water in your cup and cover it for 5 minutes

Now remove the lid and sip your soothing tea,

Some people who are new to herbal tea might find moringa to be extra bitter in that case you may want to add some honey, or like me you can also add 2-3 drops of lime juice for a tangy taste or add both for a rather enhanced flavour.

I generally prefer to drink this tea in the morning as moringa sounds close to the word “morning”. Although you can enjoy it at any of your preferred times.
